PUNE RACING SEASON 2024: A SPECTACULAR SHOWCASE

 

The stage is set, and the anticipation is palpable as the 2024 Pune racing season gallops into action on July 21, concluding on November 3. This thrilling season, curated by the esteemed Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC), promises an exhilarating spectacle with 20 race days, brimming with the excitement of an increased prize money pool exceeding ₹12 crore.

 

Horses and Trainers: The Heart of the Race

 

A remarkable assembly of 688 horses, including 187 spirited two-year-olds, have taken their stables in Pune, ready to compete and captivate. Adding to the fervor are sixteen outstation horses, further enriching the competition. With no restrictions on outstation participation, except in the lower classes, the races are set to be intensely competitive and captivating.

The season's grandeur is elevated by the participation of 31 elite A-Licence Trainers headed by the ever dominant Pesi Shroff, the dashing duo of Mallesh Narredu and Adhiraj Singh Jodha, veterans Narenrda Lagad, Imtiaz A Sait, Bezan Chenoy, Dallas Todywalla and M.K.Jadhav, the promising Karthik Ganapathy and Faisal A Abbas and many more famous professionals 14 adept B-Licence Trainers. They are joined by 45 skilled A-Licence jockeys spearheaded by A.Sandesh, Neeraj Rawal, S.Zervan, Trevor Patel, C.S.Jodha and 11 talented B-Licence jockeys, all geared up to showcase their prowess and bring the races to life.
